Ultrasound Drug Delivery for Nail Fungal Treatment by apksantos is a document available to read on EtoBox.
An ultrasound-mediated nail drug delivery system has been developed to treat nail fungus (onychomycosis). The device uses low-intensity ultrasound to increase nail permeability and improve drug delivery to the nail bed. In vitro testing on canine nails showed that ultrasound exposure for 30, 60, or 120 seconds significantly increased nail permeability compared to controls. This non-invasive device could provide an improved alternative to current onychomycosis treatments by more effectively delivering drugs
