What is Cassette Paper Detection Mechanism about?

This document describes the paper detection components in the cassette pickup unit, including sensors for detecting the presence/absence of paper, paper level, and paper size. It discusses how the paper level sensor uses a variable resistor connected to the lifter drive shaft to detect the paper level. The paper size is detected using a sensor on the cassette holder that is pushed by bosses on the cassette to identify the width and length combination and determine the paper size.
