Cyclophosphamide/fludarabine/rituximab Prolonged viral shedding and protracted COVID-19: case report A 61-year-old man developed prolonged viral shedding and protracted COVID-19 following chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, fludarabine and rituximab for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) [not all dosages and routes stated].The man was diagnosed with CLL in 2019. He received chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, fludarabine and rituximab and had a good response to treatment. He achieved clinical remission of enlarged lymph nodes and his laboratory parameters were within normal range. He had multiple comorbidities and received ramipril, therapeutic-intensity apixaban, prophylactic cotrimoxazole [trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole] and valaciclovir. On 15 September 2020, during current presentation, he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He was in home isolation, until 21 days after COVID-19 diagnosis. He was hospitalised for significant weight loss and deteriorating general state. He was febrile but haemodynamically stable. Laboratory evaluation revealed, elevated inflammatory markers, severe lymphocytopenia and low IgG levels. He received a five day course of ceftriaxone for bacterial superinfe
