This study re-evaluates the Grunsky method for predicting streamflow in ungauged Brazilian catchments using rainfall data. The method was applied to 716 catchments, demonstrating strong performance with Kling-Gupta Efficiency (KGE) values ranging from 0.87 to 0.93 on interannual scales, and over 22% of catchments achieving KGE greater than 0.50 on monthly scales. The findings suggest that the Grunsky approach is a viable and simpler alternative to more complex runoff prediction methods.
