The Anopaia Path at Thermopylai by Nikos Harokopos is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is The Anopaia Path at Thermopylai about?

The document discusses the route of the Anopaia Path that the Persians took during the Battle of Thermopylai in 480 BC. It analyzes four suggested routes for the beginning of the path and argues that only the Vardates route meets the military requirements of being wide enough for troops to march as a group. The author walked the routes at night to test them and found evidence supporting the Vardates route.
