This study compares ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy (US-PCNL) with fluoroscopy-guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy (FL-PCNL) for renal stone treatment. Results indicate that US-PCNL significantly reduces the time for renal puncture and minimizes radiation exposure, while showing comparable safety and effectiveness in terms of operative time and stone-free rates. The findings support the use of US-PCNL as a reliable, low-cost alternative to FL-PCNL in experienced hands.
