What is Destruction of Adulis Port: A Historical Overview about?

The ancient port city of Adulis in Eritrea was an important trading hub between the Roman Empire, Greece, Africa, Arabia, and Persia. However, in around 640 AD, Adulis was invaded and destroyed by Arab forces. The fall of Adulis isolated the Kingdom of Axum and contributed to its economic decline by cutting off its international trade networks. Today, only ruins and artifacts remain of the once significant port city.
