This study evaluated the anti-diabetic potential of four extracts from Swietenia mahagoni seeds using in vitro alpha-glucosidase inhibition assays and in vivo tests on hyperglycemic rats. The four extracts were produced using two extraction solvents (aqueous and ethanol) and methods (maceration and reflux). Testing found the ethanolic maceration extract had the highest alpha-glucosidase inhibition.
