What is Cannabis Industry Stimulus Request about?

The letter requests that the Canadian government provide economic stimulus to the regulated cannabis industry in Canada. It notes that the industry has faced job losses and challenges accessing capital. It asks that cannabis companies be given equal access to supports for businesses, including wage subsidies and funding from agencies like BDC, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 50 cannabis companies signed in support, asking for equitable treatment as other Canadian businesses during this difficult time.
