Activated charcoal was used to adsorb oxalic acid from aqueous solutions. The experiment followed the Freundlich adsorption isotherm, which relates the amount of adsorbate (oxalic acid) per mass of adsorbent (charcoal) to the equilibrium concentration of the solution.
