Can I read Proton-conducting Polymers Derived from Poly(ether-etherketone) and Poly(4-phenoxybenzoyl-1,4-phenylene) on EtoBox?

Proton-conducting Polymers Derived from Poly(ether-etherketone) and Poly(4-phenoxybenzoyl-1,4-phenylene) by Takeshi Kobayashi; Masahiro Rikukawa; Kohei Sanui; Naoya Ogata is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Proton-conducting Polymers Derived from Poly(ether-etherketone) and Poly(4-phenoxybenzoyl-1,4-phenylene) about?

Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylene-oxy-1,4-phenylene-carbonyl-1,4-phenylene) (PEEK) and poly(4-phenoxybenzoyl-1,4-phenylene, Poly-X 2000) (PPBP), were sulfonated with sulfuric acid by incorporating sulfonic acid moieties in order to convert these polymers to proton-conducting polymers. The sulfonated polymers containing 65 mol% sulfonic acid showed a high 22 24 21 proton-conductivity of 10 -10 S cm at room temperature. Sulfonated PPBP showed a much higher and more stable proton conductivity than sulfonated PEEK, which is in agreement with the strong water absorption of the former compound.

Who reads Proton-conducting Polymers Derived from Poly(ether-etherketone) and Poly(4-phenoxybenzoyl-1,4-phenylene)?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Materials Science.
