This study investigates the relationship between spinopelvic parameters and the occurrence of adjacent segment disease (ASD) or pseudarthrosis following short-segment lumbar fusion in patients with degenerative disc disease. The findings indicate that greater sacral slope (SS), pelvic incidence (PI), and a pelvic incidence-lumbar lordosis (PI-LL) mismatch greater than 10° are associated with failed bony fusion, while ASD is linked to a greater difference in pelvic tilt (PT) values pre- and post-surgery.
