This study examines the impact of adjuvant radiation dose on outcomes in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients treated between 2004 and 2014. It found that high-dose radiation (HD-RT) was associated with increased mortality and did not improve survival outcomes, even in high-risk patients. The findings suggest that postoperative dose escalation above 60 Gy may not provide a survival benefit in this cohort.
