Can I read Quinidine: Mechanism and Interactions on EtoBox?

Quinidine: Mechanism and Interactions by Charleen Joyce Usacdin is a document available to read on EtoBox.

What is Quinidine: Mechanism and Interactions about?

Quinidine blocks sodium and potassium channels, prolonging the cardiac action potential and decreasing automaticity, treating arrhythmias. It also inhibits malaria parasites by blocking heme formation. Quinidine levels are increased by amiodarone or cimetidine and decreased by nifedipine or phenobarbital due to effects on hepatic metabolism. When taken with digoxin, quinidine increases digoxin levels and potentiates neuromuscular blockers, requiring dose adjustments. Propranolol may increase quinidine level
