What is Understanding Postfeminism Discourse about?

This document discusses postfeminism from several perspectives: 1. It examines whether figures like Amy Winehouse can be considered postfeminist icons or contradict femininity through excess. 2. It explores postfeminism as an academic discourse that argues feminism is no longer needed in the postfeminist era. 3. Two approaches are outlined: Susan Faludi who argues it is a backlash against second-wave feminism, and Ann Brooks who sees it as a reaction and maturity beyond restrictive second-wave feminism
