This study assessed community awareness of earthquakes and evaluated earthquake risk reduction practices in Malvar, Philippines, involving 150 household heads. Findings indicated that while respondents were generally aware of earthquakes and risk reduction practices, there was no significant correlation between their awareness levels and the effectiveness of these practices.
