This study investigated the level of awareness of whitewashing in films among 80 senior high school students in the Philippines. Students viewed the whitewashed film "The Last Airbender" and completed a survey on their familiarity with and perceptions of whitewashing. The results found that students recognized the incorrect casting of characters and would be more mindful of whitewashing in the future. However, the findings may not apply to other student groups.
