What is The Notion of Planetary Boundaries about?
Certain notions have become symbolic of the Anthropocene and its systemic component, including the notions of planetary boundaries and the Great Acceleration, which have already been widely discussed in the literature. The over presented in this chapter is not intended to provide a new perspective on the Anthropocene, but to allow us to take the measure of the geoscientific data and systemic changes related to the Anthropocene, to illuminate the discussion in the remainder of this work. This is to elucidate the magnitude of the political anthropological problem we are facing, and the need to anthropologically consolidate the political.
