This has been evidenced by the number of papers dealing with the subject, both from a scientific and a medical standpoint; by the planning of projects such as the one now in proiress by The Wistar Institute, on the tissues of aging rats; and by the publication of the book, "Problems of Ageing" edited by E. V. Cowdry. ## Many of the earlier investigators of age changes in tissues have concentrated on the regulatory mechanisms, the nervous system and the endocrine organs.
