This paper evaluates the use of artificial neural networks for diagnosing urinary system diseases. A feed-forward backpropagation neural network with one hidden layer of 20 neurons is used as a classifier to distinguish between infected and non-infected patients for two types of urinary diseases based on selected symptoms.
