This research article examines the fertility intent of college-aged Latinas in relation to their academic and family self-worth and the value they place on education. The study, conducted with a sample of 428 Hispanic/Latina women, found that higher academic self-worth correlates with fewer desired children and a greater emphasis on avoiding pregnancy.
