About this document

Knowledge and Awareness of HIV/AIDS Among High School Girls in Ghana by Azilah Giskha is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study assessed knowledge and awareness of HIV/AIDS among 260 senior high school girls in Ghana. It found that while students had general knowledge on transmission and prevention, some exhibited limited understanding of spiritual causes, treatment, contacts with infected persons, and reliance on appearances over testing. Students were also reluctant to use condoms. The study highlights a need to improve HIV/AIDS interventions for this group.
