What is Indonesia Pusaka Sheet Music Collection about?

This document discusses the history and construction of string instruments used in a gamelan orchestra. Gamelan instruments like the cello-like rebab, viola-like gender, and violin-like gambang evolved from earlier instruments brought to Indonesia from India and China. Each instrument is made from local woods like teak or jackfruit and crafted using traditional techniques passed down for generations to produce sounds that blend together in gamelan music.
