What is Rizal about?
Rizal spent time in Brussels, Belgium where he wrote articles for La Solidaridad. He lived in a modest boarding house run by the Jacoby sisters and befriended other students. While there, he enjoyed the summer festivals but also felt lonely without his family in the Philippines. He wrote several articles defending Filipino ideals and individuals from attacks by Spanish authors.
