The study investigates the morphology and compression behavior of biodegradable poly(L-lactic acid) (PLA) scaffolds with varying hydroxyapatite (HA) content, produced through a sintering process. Results indicate that while the addition of HA affects pore size and mechanical properties, it helps maintain an alkaline pH during degradation, which is beneficial for bone healing. The findings suggest that improvements in the mixing of PLA and HA are necessary for enhanced scaffold integrity for non-load-bearing
