They considered alternative platforms but chose to continue with IBM i and Power Systems due to the extreme reliability, ease of administration, scalability and powerful backup capabilities of the platform. 7-Eleven recently upgraded their ERP landscape to SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver BW running on IBM i and Power Systems.
