What is Remploy Workers Face Job Losses about?

Disabled workers at a factory in Swansea that is closing face significantly lower redundancy packages than those agreed to previously by the former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. The current package being offered is an average of £19,100 while the previous package ensured workers had financial support as they transitioned to uncertain employment prospects. The closing of the Remploy factory in Swansea will eliminate the jobs of 49 disabled workers between September and December.
