This 12-week study assessed the effects of the supplement FlexiQule (containing Boswellia extract) combined with standard management (SM) for osteoarthritis symptoms, compared to SM alone. 32 patients took the supplement while 34 acted as controls. At 12 weeks, symptoms improved more in the supplement group as measured by the Karnofsky scale and WOMAC questionnaire. Pain-free and total walking distances increased more in the supplement group.
