What is Associative Norms in Spanish Children about?

This document presents the results of a study that collected associative word norms from Spanish-speaking children ages 8 to 13. The study presented 58 common Spanish words to 300 children split into three age groups: 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, and 12-13 years old. For each word, the children wrote down the first word that came to mind. The results showed an increase in the percentage of associates produced, more idiosyncratic responses, and weaker associate strength as the children
