What is Forage vs. Concentrate Feeding for Goats about?

The study investigated the effects of separate free-choice offering of forage and concentrate on the feed intake and growth of Alpine doelings over 16 weeks. Results indicated that separate access to forage and concentrate led to higher average daily gain (ADG) compared to mixed diets, with the best performance observed in the ad libitum group. The findings suggest that this feeding strategy can enhance growth and feed efficiency in young goats.
