What is Bukako about?

Bukako, a sorcerous monkey, is imbued with magical powers after eating spell books. He battles a powerful mage named Bezelzak-Belvana-Besrok and steals fragments of powerful spells. Bezelzak and others have sought Bukako since to regain the spells. Meanwhile, the Pleasing Fish is a wish-granting fish that causes unintended consequences. Bukako encounters the fish and begins an adventure pursued across seas and time as they are hunted by armies and magic users seeking their powers.
