The study investigates the impact of pyroxenite flux on the quality and microstructure of hematite pellets, focusing on the effects of MgO content during induration. Results indicate that an optimal addition of 5% pyroxenite, yielding 1.5% MgO in pellets, enhances pellet strength and reduces degradation during blast furnace reduction. The formation of magnesioferrite and high melting point slag contributes to improved performance compared to traditional acid pellets.
