What is Breakfast With A Stranger about?

"When Kurt Heller was in his tender twenties, he exploded onto the Hollywood gay scene sweeping all before him--finally even Hollywood itself. Now in his not-so-tender forties, his life and career a shambles, Kurt has retreated to a modest London apartment and resentful domesticity with a lover, Dennis. On the floor above them live a young American couple, Bob and Nancy Williams. It began so innocently. Business took Bob to Brussels for the weekend, and Dennis was out of town visiting his parents, thus it seemed only polite for Kurt to take Nancy to dinner. But before the night was over Kurt Heller exploded again, this time into heterosexuality... and by the time Bob and Dennis returned he was deeply in love. Breakfast With a Stranger follow the mad, sad, tender, desperately optimistic course of Kurt's affair with Nancy: a riotous pub brawl, a savage mating war, a harrowing dinner party, a showdown with the determined Dennis, a weekend in the depth of the English countryside that leads to a wondrously comic vision and a "death" fall from a cliff"--Dust jacket flap
