This study investigates the genomic and antimicrobial resistance gene diversity in multidrug-resistant CTX-M-positive Escherichia coli isolates from clinical samples at King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah. Whole genome sequencing revealed 19 isolates with 41 acquired resistance genes, including the predominant blaCTX-M-15 gene, and identified 17 sequence types and 11 fimbriate types.
