In the present study the focus was drawn to how the use of drugs and alcohol taking an integral part of our society and hampering an individual and their surrounding in the society. The objective of the study was to seek the detrimental effect of alcohol in an individual’s psychological state. In this study the method of Case history is used to gather data. Case history of three clients being admitted in a residential treatment center, Kolkata was taken.
