About this document
UMP Tests Lecture Notes by alamjafar1423 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Uniformly Most Powerful (UMP) tests are designed to maximize power while controlling Type I error in hypothesis testing. They are derived from the Neyman–Pearson lemma and exist primarily for one-sided alternatives in one-parameter exponential families. When UMP tests are not available, UMP unbiased (UMPU) tests are considered as an alternative.
