1. To fade out a track in the multitrack view, enable the volume envelope display and add break points to the green volume line. Drag the break points down to create a fade out slope to zero volume. 2. Splitting tracks at cue points allows you to mute portions of tracks individually for the mixdown. Use the delete silence function to trim silence from the final mixdown file. 3. Fading a track and splitting it at the fade out prevents a long faded section from extending the length of the final mixdown file
