What is Florida Citrus Freeze Damage Report about?

A survey was conducted in January 2011 to assess freeze damage to Florida citrus crops from temperatures in December 2010. Fruit was examined from depths and scored for damage. For most varieties, over 60% of fruit showed no damage. Leaf damage was also minor, with over 80% of samples across varieties exhibiting no leaf damage. Acid levels decreased for all fruit types compared to January 2011 surveys, while solids to acid ratios and solids per box increased for most varieties.
