The Poro MPA Management Council held their first monthly meeting of 2020 on January 28th. They discussed and finalized the 2020 management plan, including the status of the MPA watch tower and Bantay Dagat enforcement team. The Bantay Dagat patrolling team, led by Simplicio Baldemor Jr., continues daily patrols from 8am to 5pm to protect the sanctuary. The Poro MPA and PSLA will also conduct monthly coastal cleanups to conserve the local environment.
