The Irrawaddy dolphin has several distinguishing morphological features. They have a U-shaped blowhole on their dorsal side, weigh between 90-200 kg, and can reach up to 2.75 m in length. They are grey to dark blue on their back and pale white underneath. Found in parts of the Philippines, New Guinea, and Bay of Bengal, they live in shallow, undisturbed waters near estuaries. Irrawaddy dolphins feed on small fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods. They live in groups and give birth to calves about 1 m in length
