What is Feeding Type and Time to First Stool about?

1) The study compared the time to first stool and urine in breastfed vs formula-fed newborns aged 34 weeks gestation or older. 2) They found that while breastfed infants were fed earlier and more frequently, there was no significant difference in time to first stool between the two groups. 3) However, breastfed infants had a significantly earlier time to first urine compared to formula-fed infants. The only factor that predicted time to first stool was gestational age.
