What is The Y2K Prophet: Elias Krane about?

Elias Krane, a government contractor in 1983, warned about the Y2K bug and allegedly developed a patch for legacy banking systems that later vanished along with him. Despite his early warnings being dismissed, programmers faced the Y2K issue in 1999, scrambling to fix systems he had attempted to address years earlier. Speculation remains about the existence of his code, with some believing it may still be stored on an old magnetic tape in Nevada.
