What is Exploring Self and Reward Models about?

The document explores the relationship between self and reward in neuroscience, highlighting the involvement of brain regions associated with reward processing in self-specific stimuli. It discusses three models of this relationship: integration, segregation, and parallel processing, each with its own implications and evidence. The authors conclude that increased interaction between the fields of self and reward could enhance understanding of both concepts and their relevance to psychiatric disorders.
