Resistive sensors measure stimuli by detecting changes in resistance. Piezoresistive sensors in particular measure force, pressure, or deformation by detecting changes in resistance caused by stretching or compressing the sensor. Piezoresistive sensors are commonly made of metal wires or silicon films deposited on flexible substrates.
