What is Rouviere about?

This prospective study involved 155 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy to assess the visibility and significance of Rouviere’s sulcus. The findings indicated that Rouviere’s sulcus was visible in 88% of cases, and its absence was associated with longer operation times and hospital stays. The most common indications for surgery were symptomatic gallstones and acute cholecystitis, with a low incidence of complications such as biliary injury and postoperative infections.
