What is Hexagonal Virtual Coordinates for Routing about?

The document presents a new protocol called Hexagonal Virtual Coordinate (HVC) for constructing a virtual coordinate system in wireless sensor networks. The HVC protocol selects certain nodes as landmarks that locally flood the network with control packets to assign each node virtual coordinates based on hop counts to the nearest landmarks. This virtual coordinate system supports geographic routing across holes in the network in a load-balanced manner. Simulation results show the landmarks are uniformly dis
