Learning a second language is both a cognitive and emotional endeavor (Swain, 2014). In the last decades, the body of research that investigates the emotional nature of second language learning has increased (Aragão, 2011; Machata, 2013; Méndez López & Cardenas, 2014; Oxford, 1995).
