What is Analysis of "I Am Not I" Poem about?

The poem "I Am Not I" belongs to the second stage of the author Juan Ramón Jiménez. The theme of the poem is metapoetry, which is presented through two parts: the first presents poetry as the "alter ego" of the poetic self through the first five verses, while the second explains more features of poetry through the last verses. The poem states that the true essence of the human being is eternal, invisible, kind, and intelligent, not the known physical image.
