What is Sprint Duration Effects on Soccer Performance about?

This study examined the effects of sprint duration and exercise:rest ratios on repeated sprint performance and physiological responses in professional soccer players. Results indicated that a 15-m sprint with a 1:4 exercise:rest ratio induced the greatest fatigue and physiological responses, while a 40-m sprint with a 1:6 ratio was also effective but produced lower perceived exertion. The findings suggest that specific sprint protocols can enhance phosphagen system development relevant to soccer performance
