The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor is located in Shaanxi province, China and constructed between 246-208 BC. It is built around a 76-meter tall tomb mound and modeled after the Qin capital. The tomb itself has not been excavated but areas around it have revealed the Terracotta Army and artifacts. Construction of the massive complex involved over 700,000 workers and took 38 years, with the tomb designed to protect the emperor even after death through traps and mercury rivers.
